DON’T GET FINED

In order to apply for a filming permit, you must have a valid United Arab Emirates production trade license. Any individuals, companies or entities that do not have a valid UAE production trade license can either apply to obtain a license or partner with a UAE-licensed production company to obtain a filming permit.

Failing to comply could land you with a fine or even a prison sentence.

AED 25,000 Fine:

  • Filming without permission

AED 15,000 Fine:

  • Filming without location permission

AED 25,000 Fine:

  • Filming for different activities than mentioned in the permit

AED 20,000 Fine:

  • Member of the production house not present on set

  • Damage to property, littering, blocking pathways or roads without permission, building sets or structures without permission and filming aerial without permission from the concerned parties

To film in private locations such as residential properties, you will need to apply directly to the property owner to obtain written permission.
